Ashcrete supplied industrialized concrete beams for the construction of the central garage for the light rail in Jerusalem, located near the Red Line. This project is a key component of one of the country's largest infrastructure initiatives, situated in the heart of a densely populated urban area.
Industrialized Elements in a Mega Infrastructure Project
As part of the "Depo" project, spanning approximately 44 dunams, the central garage for the light rail was constructed in Jerusalem, near the Red Line. The Red Line stretches 13.8 km, featuring 23 stations from Pisgat Ze'ev to Mount Herzl. The complex also includes a garage, specialized maintenance areas, washing and engraving stations, and office complexes for the concessionaire and operating company.
During the construction, Ashcrete supplied various industrialized elements, including 10-meter-high concrete walls, beams, columns, panels, and a steel roof. These components were manufactured at the company's Ashdod factory, efficiently transported to the site, and assembled on location.
