Undergrouns Works in a New Residential Project in Jaffa 

The new residential quarter covers a 6.5 dunam (6,500 sq. m.) area and is built as part of the urban renewal process in the district. Apart from the 5 residential towers, each 15 storeys high, the complex also includes a commercial storey, play and sport facilities and a variety of educational, cultural and communal centres.  

Base Pile has excavated some 70,000 cu.m. on the site together with rerouting an operational urban water main. Also carried out were shoring works to a width of 60 m. and a depth of 25 m. using two digging cranes. 3 - 7 m. long elements were employed, some of which were excavated to a depth of 40 m. as a basis for future structures. Base Pile also placed 462 polymer anchors and laid foundations using piles to a depth of 30 m.  

To keep the excavation sides from caving in, Base Pile employed the Bentonite and dry techniques offering an optimum solution for building foundations. Site work was executed using the Company’s fleet of advanced digging cranes, operated by professionals with high engineering skills capable of carrying out a comprehensive assessment of site conditions to ensure maximum quality, safety and efficiency.
