Demolition and Rebuilding of a Residential Tower in Ramat Gan
The High Line 3 project is located at the intersection of Abba Hillel and HaDkalin Streets, on a 1,480-square-meter lot. As part of an urban renewal initiative, four buildings with 33 housing units were demolished to make way for a 24-story residential tower featuring 100 housing units. The tower includes a commercial floor at street level and four underground parking levels. Constructed using the Baranovich method, the project incorporates porcelain granite tiles, combining modern design with advanced construction techniques.
The location of the complex in a densely populated neighborhood demanded advanced maneuvering and logistical capabilities at the construction site. The restricted and narrow access roads necessitated the use of a climbing formwork system for the building core. This system offers numerous advantages: it eliminates the need for a large staging area, significantly reduces crane usage, shortens the construction time of each floor, and optimizes schedules during critical construction phases.
Another construction characteristic of the project is industrialisation of the plumbing systems in wet rooms, a unique process followed for the first time in a residential structure in Israel.
