Integrated Construction Using Climbing Hydraulic Molds
Located near Bat Yam Mall, Olio project is a mixed-use complex where Ashtrom Engineering and Construction is building a 40-story residential tower with 160 units across 23,320 sqm, a 9-story office building, and 10,265 sqm of commercial space. The complex also includes a 4-level underground parking lot.
The project utilizes a conventional construction method, with the building's skeleton made from reinforced concrete—cast in molds with steel rods—and combined with climbing hydraulic molds. The process involved establishing foundations, concrete floors, columns, suspended ceilings, and walls made of concrete or blocks.
A key challenge in the construction was its proximity to an active shopping mall, requiring heightened caution and attention to the safety of shoppers, drivers, and pedestrians throughout all working hours.
