Underground works adjacent to an operational kindergarten

This prestigious residential complex in the heart of Tel Aviv's Bavli neighborhood features two 7-story apartment buildings and a parking facility, built as part of a TAMA 38/2 demolition and reconstruction project.

Base Pile has carried out foundation works on the site using slurry walls as well as groundwater lowering with the aim of adjusting and controlling the water table to enable construction under dry conditions. As an urban renewal project, the teams in the field encountered unique challenges in all matters concerning the handling of underground infrastructures - dealing with construction in a dense urban area necessitating complex traffic layouts, close vicinity within a few centimetres of an active kindergarten, as well as special soil conditions involving soft ground and closeness to groundwater.
